Remember all those rumors that poor sales of Dead Space 3 caused EA to cancel the inevitable Dead Space 4? The PlayStation Vita was up 30 percent in February and the Xbox 360 sold 302,000, keeping it the top-selling console for 19 months in a row. NPD analyst Liam Callahan said new launches in February 2013 performed worse than last year with unit sales down 30 percent. Hardware, on the other hand, increased from January into February. "Specifically, new platforms like the Wii U and PS Vita demonstrated some momentum from the typical January hardware lull with increases of over 40 percent and 30 percent respectively."
