The fantastic-looking Freedom Wars, which was previously only announced for launch in Japan, will make its way to North America and Europe later this year.
The PlayStation Vita exclusive, sci-fi shooter will feature an offline mode, an 8 player co-op feature and a competitive online mode. Sony describes gameplay as a mixture between action and strategy as players fight across a futuristic setting to rescue civilians.
One of the key features includes customisation, with players able to switch classes, pimp weapons and alter their appearance. Players will also be able to side with a city in the game world and earn global point scores towards dominance against other fighters from different areas.
