Destiny Age of Triumph is now available free to PS4 and Xbox One players, ushering in a fresh set of new challenges, weapons, gear, and other highlights for Bungie’s shared-world shooter. It’s also the final major update for the game before this year’s hotly anticipated sequel, Destiny 2, hits stores in fall 2017. As such, you’ll want to get stuck in and enjoy everything Destiny has to offer Guardians before making the transition over the new game—and there’s more than enough to keep you busy for months yet.

- Step 1 – Start things off by unleashing your wrath on Hive enemies to obtain the Husk of the Pit, a bog-standard auto rifle. Sounds familiar? It will, but things have been tweaked for Age of Triumph.
- Step 2 – You then need to charge the Husk of the Pit by dispatching a specific type of Hive enemy. This is determined randomly, so it could be one Wizards, Knights, or any other form of Hive foe.
- Step 3 – Head back to The Speaker once you have upgraded the nodes on the Husk of the Pit.
- Step 4 – Next, you’ll need to Purge the Darkness from the weapon using 25 Motes of Light, which then transforms it into the Eidolon Ally. The next step of the quest will then activate with Eris known as Essence of the Oversoul.
- Step 5 – Your Guardian will now have to complete Crota’s End at Light Level 390, and then tackle the Will of Crota Strike by eliminating Omnigul. You will be rewarded with the Essence of the Oversoul.
- Step 6 – Upgrade the Eidolon Ally’s final node with this new item to create the Necrochasm. Congratulations, year 3 quest complete!
