One of the handful of PlayStation Plus games coming this November is The Deadly Tower of Monsters.
Admittedly, this sci-fi top-down shooter slipped passed us unnoticed on its release in January 2016 and we didn’t review it, but with its appearance on PS Plus starting on November 1, 2016 we were keen to check it out.
Here’s some of the stuff worth knowing.
1. It’s a game inspired by 1970’s B-movies
2. t’s published by Atlas and developed by indie studio ACE Team (Abyss Odyssey)
3. It features a lead character called Dick Starspeed
4. You can also switch between two other characters, Scarlet and Robot who have different abilities
5. The action takes place on the planet of Gravoria
6. Dick crash lands in his rocket and has to fight off outrageous-looking creatures, including a King Kong-like ape
7. He also battles against hordes of dinosaurs, ants and stunt-men in costumes
8. The development team uses visual techniques to create that B-movie look, and there’s lots of references to that era
9. It features weapons such as crystal swords, ray guns and laser whips
10. Reach the end and you’ll face hordes of 50+ monsters!
