Evolution Studios, the developers behind last month’s PlayStation racer DRIVECLUB, has today taken to the game’s official Facebook page to share details of the upcoming compensation package for owners of game following its troublesome launch back on October 7.
DRIVECLUB owners will have access to three DLC packs absolutely free of charge later this month (SCEA November 25, SCEE November 26, SCEJ November 27). These packs – the Ignition Expansion Pack and Photo-Finish Tour Pack plus two livery packs – will feature five new motors, ten Trophies, 22 tour events, and ten livery items.
The game’s Season Pass will also be extended to feature four more packs in July 2015 in a bid to make sure gamers get everything they’ve been promised.
The developer has also announced that the first major player-directed update will hit on Tuesday, and will feature a Photo Mode, three new tracks, as well as some other tweaks which are listed below.
– Improved multiplayer collision physics to reduce frustrating spin-outs
– Adjustments to soften the corner cutting penalty system
– Options in the club menu to view everything your club has unlocked
– A fix to allow all club owners to update their club badges
Unfortunately there’s still no concrete news about the game’s free PlayStation Plus edition other than the fact that Evolution Studios is still working diligently on the server issues.
