Square Enix targets 30fps/1080p for Final Fantasy XV on PS4 and Xbox One

Speaking during a Reddit AMA over the weekend, Square Enix’s Hajime Tabata confirmed that the studio is targeting 1080p/30fps for the final version of Final Fantasy XV on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Tabata-san described the studio’s goal as “full HD and 30fps” during the Q&A with fans, though conceded the target might be “difficult to realize.”

The reason for this, the FFXV game director explained, is due to the various “graphics and features” that the development team is cramming into its hotly anticipated JRPG.

Elsewhere, Tabata-san also spilled a few details on the upcoming demo of FFXV, confirming that Noctis’ ‘Phantom Sword’ will be available for players to wield in the playable teaser.

Square Enix previously commented that it is hoping to have the game release simultaneously in Japan and the west. Check out the latest batch of screenshots here.
