In the lead up to Batman: Arkham Knight releasing on June 23, Warner Bros. Games has released stunning new pre-order content available for all platforms.
Coming in the form of a skin pack, titled Gotham’s Future, this new pre-order incentive consists of two alternative costumes based on popular comic book stories of two separate futures. Originally created as an animated television series by producer Bruce Timm, the first skin is an Arkham Knight variation of Batman Beyond, and is set in the year 2019 when an aging Bruce Wayne passes down the mantle to ex-street gang member, Terry McGinnis. The Batman Beyond skin was also present in Rocksteady’s previous title, Arkham City.
Next up, created by comic book writer Frank Miller, the Dark Knight Returns skin sees players taking on the role of a 55-year-old retired Bruce Wayne, who has returned to the underbelly of Gotham to inflict pain, fear, and justice, bringing order back to the city.
While it should be noted that these are purely cosmetic in regards to their actual functionality in the game, should players wish to experience the game from a different perspective, although be it a visual one only, as of right now it will only be available through pre-orders only. Whether or not the Gotham’s Future Skin Pack will be available at a later date as standalone content remains to be seen.
What costume would you like to see the caped crusader do battle in as we come to the end of this dark and gritty, yet glorious finale?
Red Son? Knightfall? Val Kilmer’s or George Clooney’s perhaps? (Just kidding). Shout out in the comments section below.
