20th Century Fox and New Regency have unsheathed the first official promo image of its forthcoming Assassin’s Creed movie, showcasing actor Michael Fassbender decked out in full assassin garb.
In addition, the first concrete plot details have been confirmed, with Fassbender taking on the role of a brand new character in 15th century Spain. See below for a full plot summary and an image of the X-Men: First Class actor in costume.
"Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day."
Production on the film begins on Monday, with the movie due out in December 2016.
