Activision has confirmed that it is offering a solution to Destiny players who own the game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but do not have enough storage space to install the forthcoming Taken King expansion.
Those who own the shared-world shooter on last-generation consoles, specifically those early hardware configurations, are unable to install The Taken King, which typically eats up anywhere between 10-20GB.
However, Activision is offering a solution. Those of you who have a current and active Destiny account can contact the publishing giant (make sure it’s before September 15, the launch date of The Taken King) and they’ll send you a 32GB flash drive (via GameSpot).
The game itself will be patched to include external storage support, which will solve any issues using the flash drive.
By this point, we’re not sure how many of you still own an original 20GB PS3 console without having upgraded it storage, although at least Activision is aiming to have all angles covered.
In related Destiny news, it was revealed earlier this week that the game was delayed due to significant story changes. Court documents from composer Marty O’ Donnell’s lawsuit also revealed plans for new Desiny titles through to 2020.
