Bandai Namco Games has announced that Tales of Berseria will be hitting Europe and Australia for PlayStation 4.
No release date has been announced at present, though the game will also be coming to the PC when it arrives in the west. The Japanese version of the game is due to appear at some point in 2016, and will also be released on the PS3.

The TALES OF franchise’s history of memorable characters, engaging battle systems, and personal stories will continue to delight fans on PlayStation®4 and PC Digital," commented Hervé Hoerdt, Vice-President of Marketing and Digital at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe.
As the latest instalment in the critically acclaimed ‘Tales of’ franchise, Berseria is the first outing in the long-running franchise to star a single female protagonist, in this case a young woman named Velvet. Having experienced a traumatic event three years prior to the events of the game, Velvet finds herself imbued with special powers in her left arm, and sets off a globe-trotting adventure, where she comes into contact with a host of other characters.
Tales of Berseria features a host of veteran character designers from the Tales of series, including Mutsumi Inomata, Kosuke Fujishima, Minoru Iwamoto, and Daigo Okumura.
The Tales of franchise celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, having originally launched with Tales of Phantasia back in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). While the franchise has seen release on many platforms since its inception, the last few titles have been exclusive to PlayStation formats. The Tales of series has sold 16 million copies worldwide as of 2013.
