Insomniac Games has announced via the PlayStation Blog that Ratchet & Clank will be released on PlayStation in Europe on April 20.
The latest instalment in the classic platform franchise will coincide with the release of the upcoming CG movie of PlayStation’s dynamic duo, and has been conceived as a reimagining of the original Ratchet & Clank, offering a new take on the origins story games are familiar with.
This time around, the narrative is told from the perspective of Captain Qwark, and features a host of classic Ratchet & Clank characters, including the eponymous duo, Big Al, Dr. Nefarious, Chairman Drek, and a host of new faces to boot. Furthermore, Insomniac has updated the game’s controls, offering a more modern take on the classic franchise, as well as introducing a host of new mechanics and weapons to get to grips with.
