Hitman GO: Definitive Edition launches next week – new content and updated visuals for PS4 and Vita

The popular mobile game Hitman GO: Definitive Edition is getting a console release on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita next week.

Released on iOS and Android in 2014, Hitman GO is a turn-based puzzle game that sees game protagonist Agent 47 work his way through numerous grid-based levels completing objectives and assassinating enemies.

The new edition will be cross-buy between PS4 and PS Vita, meaning you can play it on both platforms for one price ($7.99), and it also features cross-save functionality.

Hitman GO: Definitive Edition has been visually upgraded for consoles and features new upgrades and trophies. All of the original content and updates will be made available. Unlike the mobile version, the new edition will not feature in-game purchases.

"It’s basically the good old Hitman GO you loved on mobile, with updated visuals and all the great content we added onto it including my personal favorites, the Paris Opera from Blood Money, and the St. Petersburg Stakeout mission from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin," said Nicolas Verge, community manager at Square Enix Montreal.

The next major instalment of the Hitman franchise arrives on PS4 in March. Hitman sees Agent 47 travelling around the world assassinating contracted targets. The recent beta phase was well received by critics with PSU claiming that “Hitman hasn’t looked this good in years.”
