Hello Games has staple-gunned a June 21 release date to the hotly anticipated No Man’s Sky in the U.S. The game will hit European territories the following day.
In addition to confirming the game’s release date, the developer also announced that the PlayStation 4 space adventure romp will feature a physical release on Blu-ray for those looking to save some space on their hard drive.
The studio also expressed its desire to support No Man’s Sky with a wealth of post-launch content, though didn’t elaborate any further on the matter at this time.
“In No Man’s Sky you can trade, fight, explore, and survive in a boundless, computer-generated universe. It’s a vast, open game, and always a hard one to demonstrate quickly,” commented Hello Games’ Sean Murray.
No Man’s Sky joins a host of major PS4 content slated to appear in 2016, including Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Ratchet & Clank, The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo Sport and of course Sony’s foray into the world of virtual reality with PlayStation VR.
