Final Fantasy XV will include Chocobo training and New Game+

Speaking during an interview with PlayStation Access, Final Fantasy XV Game Director, Hajime Tabata, confirmed that the hotly anticipated JRPG will feature a New Game+ mode.

Pleasingly, Tabata-san also revealed that the game will include the fan-favorite Chocobo creatures; he also said that players will be able to feed and train the birds using a system similar to that of the main characters.

Final Fantasy aficionados will no doubt be thrilled to learn that Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the multi-million selling franchise, was on hand to give Tabata-san and his team feedback throughout the game’s development.

Since we released the first demo, he’s provided lots of opinions and advice. I’ve solved a few things with his help. He has supported me in a lot of things, actually,” said Tabata-san.

Square Enix had previously confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will be fully playable at E3 2016 in June, and that it may include both paid and free downloadable content. It also revealed the game was partly inspired by Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Final Fantasy XV is due out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2016.
