The new Destiny expansion is called Rise of Iron, according to this leaked image

Promotional art has surfaced on Reddit that appears to confirm the title for Destiny’s next major expansion, due later this year.

Seen below, the expansion clearly carries the title of Rise of Iron, and depicts Iron Banner’s Lord Saladin in a striking pose flanked by a pack of wolves. He’s also wielding a rather meaty-looking weapon.

According to Kotaku sources, Rise of Iron will feature a brand new Raid that is said to be loosely based on a scrapped Fallen Raid from House of Wolves.

Developer Bungie has yet to confirm any details on the new expansion, although we’ll probably get a reveal at E3 next month. In addition to the new expansion, Destiny will also receive a full-fledged sequel at some point next year.

Destiny was released in September 2014 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The shared-world shooter has received three major expansions to date: The Dark Below, House of Wolves and The Taken King.

In recent months, Bungie has offered players time-based events to keep them immersed in Destiny’s game world, including Festival of the Lost and Crimson Days. It even dabbled in racing mini-games with the launch of Sparrow Racing League late last year.
