Speaking with GamesRadar at the EA Play event in London last night, Respawn Entertainment’s David Wightman revealed that any maps and game modes released post-launch will be free of charge.
"We’ll definitely be supporting Titanfall 2 post-launch, and I can confirm all maps and modes we deliver post-launch will be free. We’ll be talking more about post-launch plans closer to release so stay tuned for more info," Wightman said.
That doesn’t mean that all post-launch Titanfall 2 DLC content will be free. Respawn will release paid-for DLC, though Wightman was keen to stress that it would be pay-to-win content.
Titanfall 2 marks the first appearance of the franchise on PS4. The Titanfall 2 single-player trailer was released yesterday during EA’s press conference, where confirmation came that the sequel to the Xbox-exclusive Titanfall will feature six new titans, a new levelling-up system and more in-depth customisation options.
