No Man’s Sky 1.09 update now available to download: What’s new?

Hello Games has released a new update for No Man’s Sky for players to download, bringing the space exploration title up to version 1.09.

No Man’s Sky 1.09 update out now, but what changes does it bring?

The update is now available to download for PS4 and PC owners, and weighs in at 733MB. Unfortunately, Hello Games has not provided a comprehensive list of changes for the update, although Reddit has compiled some handy notes on what to expect from No Man’s Sky’s latest patch.

Here’s the full list of changes we know of so far:

“Stacking exploit removed. You can keep using any existing stacks you have however. Some reports of slightly improved graphics and sounds. Reported that saves are quicker. A report of finding the last missing fauna discovery quickly. Can no longer hold down square while uploading multiple discoveries, nor triangle when moving multiple pieces of inventory.”

Sony’s head of worldwide studios, Shuhei Yoshida, recently slammed the game’s PR campaign, suggesting it built up expectations that ultimately the developers were unable to deliver on.

"I understand some of the criticisms especially Sean Murray is getting, because he sounded like he was promising more features in the game from day one.

"It wasn’t a great PR strategy, because he didn’t have a PR person helping him, and in the end he is an indie developer. But he says their plan is to continue to develop No Man’s Sky features and such, and I’m looking forward to continuing to play the game."
