Tangentlemen has announced that its upcoming PlayStation VR psychological horror title, Here They Lie, will launch on October 13, day-and-date with Sony’s upcoming virtual reality headset. A physical edition of the game will hit stores on November 2.
To mark the occasion, the developer has also released the official Here They Lie launch trailer, which you can see below.
"Here They Lie is a psychological horror experience that injects you into a frightening, surreal world riddled with strange and malevolent creatures. Horrors lurk around every corner, just out of sight, haunting and infecting your mind. Dare yourself to go deeper down the rabbit hole and confront the meaning of your existence. The game focuses on narrative, and the experience of dread."
PSVR release date is just around the corner
Sony is gearing up for the mid-October launch of PSVR, with 50 games planned for release by the end of the year. The device will retail for £349, positioning it as the cheapest option for VR gaming in comparison to its rivals, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. A number of major titles have been confirmed to support PSVR, such as Ace Combat 7, Tekken 7, and Resident Evil 7: biohazard.
In addition, the format holder will also release an upgraded version of the PS4, known as PS4 Pro, on November 10. This high-spec console will offer 4K gaming and improved frame rates, and is seen as something of a mid-cycle refresh as opposed to kick starting a brand new console generation.
