Capcom has released two new Resident Evil 7: biohazard videos as part of its on-going series of teasers, this time showcasing one of the new enemies players will be facing off against, as well as a mysterious old woman who may be part of the antagonistic Baker family.
New Resident Evil 7 gameplay teasers released
The first video is entitled ‘Shadow’ and sees protagonist Ethan getting into a scuffle with a lumbering creature of some description, which doesn’t seem to be affected by gunfire as it lurches towards the player. ‘Aunt Rhody’ meanwhile depicts an old woman humming the game’s theme tune, before slowly being approached by Ethan as she sits comfortably in her chair. The video cuts out just as she turns her head towards the player.
Interestingly, the end of the Aunt Rhody video confirms that Capcom will be releasing something called ‘Tape 3 – Resident Evil’ in early December. This could be another update to the Resident Evil demo, or perhaps an extended gameplay trailer, but we’ll have to wait and see to find out.
Check out the two videos below.
Resident Evil 7 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on January 24, 2017, and will be fully playable with PlayStation VR. Set from a first-person perspective, the upcoming survival horror title takes place on a mysterious plantation mansion in Louisiana, U.S., as players guide newcomer Ethan on a mission to locate his missing wife.

Resident Evil celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, with Capcom marking the occasion with a series of developer interviews and PS4 and Xbox One editions of Resident Evil 4-6. Resident Evil 2 Remake is currently in production, although nothing on the project has been shown as of yet.
