Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil: Vendetta, the next installment in the CG film series based on its multi-million selling survival horror franchise, will launch in Japan on May 27, 2017.
Known on its home turf as Biohazard: Vendetta, the movie will feature three returning characters from the 20-year-old franchise: Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, and Rebecca Chambers, the latter having not been seen since the events of Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero.
Resident Evil: Vendetta release date for U.S. yet to be confirmed
Sadly there’s no word yet on a western release of Vendetta, although considering the last two VG flicks (Resident Evil Degeneration and Resident Evil: Damnation) arrived in the U.S., there’s no reason this one shouldn’t make the transition to our shores in the near future.
Still, to tide us over, there’s a host of new character images to tuck into, including the first shot of Rebecca, who appears to be wearing the same costume as her appearance in RE and RE: Zero. A flashback perhaps? Or maybe she’s just feeling nostalgic. Check them out below; there’s images of Chris, Leon, and Rebecca plus a new teaser poster.
