Telltale Games has provided the first real update on their upcoming adaptation of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, following its announcement back in December 2016. The first batch of screenshots from the game have been released, as well as the cast members lending their voices to the titular guardians.
Here’s the rundown of voices for our galaxy’s guardians:
Star-Lord/Peter Quill – Scott Porter (The Walking Dead – Season 2)
Gamora – Emily O’Brien (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor)
Rocket Racoon – Nolan North (Uncharted series)
Drax the Destroyer – Brandon Paul Eells (Watch_Dogs)
Groot – Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us)
Here’s our main party – above in-game, below in real life.
Telltale is hosting multiple events in the coming weeks that will shed much more light on Guardians of the Galaxy, starting with a livestream from PAX East on March 10, at 6:00 PM EST. You can catch their stream from this link here, where they will discuss the creative process behind the game.
Following that, on March 17 during SXSW in Austin, the company will host a Crowd Play of the world premiere of an early version of episode 1. The audience gets to control what decisions are made, and the doors for that open at 6:30 PM.
While specific platforms for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series have not yet been confirmed, it’s pretty likely the current-gen systems – including the PS4 – will be getting it. Look for more news on episode 1 in the coming months.
