Bungie has uncovered the first footage of its sci-fi shooter sequel in the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal.
Due for release on September 8, 2017, the first Destiny 2 gameplay shows off some incredible footage and give us our first look at some of the new weapons and abilities.
It looks like Bungie is also putting more emphasis on storyline and, judging by the intro, Destiny 2 is going to be filled with humor alongside the more important stuff – like taking back Earth’s Last City from a hostile alien race!
There’s also plenty of Destiny 2 DLC planned as Bungie is organizing a calendar of events foloowing the expansion pass.
In a recent tweet, Bungie shed a bit more light on Destiny 2’s narrative.
“In Destiny 2’s Story Campaign, you’ll embark on a massive journey to fight back against the Red Legion and reclaim our home.”
According to our man at the Destiny 2 event yesterday, the campaign in Destiny 2 runs at 4K 30 fps, while Strikes, Raids, and PVP are 1080p 30fps on PS4 Pro. Interestingly, it’s also rumored that Destiny 2 will still be going strong when the next PS4 console arrives.
Destiny 2 will also be released on PC where all modes will run at 1080p, 60fps.
Stay tuned for more Destiny 2 coverage.
