Bungie has ushered in the latest Destiny Weekly reset for its 2014 shared-world shooter, bringing with it a fresh batch of challenges for Guardians to tackle following a hugely successful Destiny 2 gameplay reveal last Thursday.

Destiny 2 is scheduled for release on September 8, 2017. The sequel picks up in wake of a Cabal-led attack on the Tower by a group known as The Red Legion, leaving the local Guardian populs scattered and stripped of their weapons and equipment. Bungie is making significant changes to the game, including a revamped multiplayer mode and larger open-world setting that’s chock full of side quests to hoover up. Fortunately though, the much-hated Grimoire Cards will not be returning.
Destiny 2 will be supported by extensive post-launch content in an effort to avoid the content droughts that plagued the original game, with two expansion already in the pipeline. In addition, the sci-fi shooter will benefit from PS4-exclusive goodies that will last until at least 2018. Overall, Bungie has promised a ‘continuous calendar of events’ for Destiny 2 that should ensure players always have something fresh to tuck into.
Those of you looking to get a taste of the action ahead of release should keep in mind that the Destiny 2 beta is scheduled to roll out this summer on PS4, so stay tuned for further details.
