Naughty Dog has released an extended Uncharted: The Lost Legacy gameplay video following the game’s E3 2017 showcase last week.

This latest look at the upcoming action-adventure title features plenty of action-packed combat, as Chloe Fraser and Nadine Ross mix it up with armed goons throughout a range of exotic locations. From the look of things, the duo are just as proficient in handling weapons and navigating precarious jumps as series hero, Nathan Drake.

Check out the Uncharted: Lost Legacy gameplay below.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a standalone adventure set a few months after the events of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Initially, the game was planned as DLC to complemented Nathan Drake’s epic swansong, although it quickly grew in scale and took on a life of its own; Naughty Dog confirmed that the adventure will take around 10 hours to finish.

The Lost Legacy is also noteworthy for being the first instalment in the treasure hunting franchise not to feature wise-cracking hero Nathan Drake. Furthermore, it’s also Naughty Dog’s final Uncharted game, although the studio has not ruled out the possibility of another studio taking over the development reins for a potential Uncharted 5

Considering the franchise is one of Sony’s most successful first-party IPs, selling over 30 million copies worldwide since 2007, we doubt we’ve seen the last of the brand just yet. In fact, there’s plenty of developers out there who could do a solid job of continuing the franchise.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is due for release exclusively on PS4 on August 22, 2017
