Bungie is planning to make Destiny 2 far bigger in scale than its previous game, so will be padding it out so that Guardians have much more to do.
In the latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK (OPM), via GameRant, Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 will offer “more to do than in any Bungie game ever.”
In addition to new weapons and Supers, they’ll be some significant changes to the Destiny 2 multiplayer as well as tons of new quests, public events and hero objectives.
One of the new features, which has yet to detailed in full, will be treasure hunts where Guardians will be rewarded with loot. These specific quests will take place on special maps, says OPM, though what’s so special about them we’re yet to find out.
The new content won’t stop after launch either. Just like the original Destiny, Destiny 2 will launch expansions. So far there are two expansions planned that will offer additional story missions, new armor and gear.
Due for release on September 6, 2017, keen Guardians who preorder will be able to preload Destiny 2 ahead of launch a few days earlier.
