The Destiny servers are currently offline as Bungie carries out essential maintenance on the game ahead of the launch of the Destiny 2 beta.
The Destiny server status was revealed by Bungie Help on Twitter, who state:
Destiny server maintenance is starting now. Online players will be returned to the login screen by 8am PDT.
The servers are offline for approximately 9 hours and will be back online at 4pm PT/7pm ET/12AM BST today.

There’s rumors that Bungie may be preparing for launch of the Destiny 2 beta, which kicks off on the following dates and these times:
- July 18 at 10 a.m. Pacific – Early Access Beta begins on PS4
- July 19 at 10 a.m. Pacific – Early Access Beta begins on Xbox One
- July 21 at 10 a.m. Pacific – Open beta for all consoles
- July 23 at 9 p.m. Pacific – Beta ends
Recently, it was also revealed that PS4 players will be preload Destiny 2 ahead of release. The Destiny 2 PS4 file size was also confirmed as at least 68GB when it launches on September 6, 2017.
