Deck13 Interactive has announced that a demo of its action title, The Surge – often-described as a ‘Sci-fi Souls’, in reference to the game’s Dark Souls-esque difficulty – is coming next week to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The news was revealed via the official Surge Twitter account, but no confirmation was given as to the exact launch date of the demo or the content.

PlayStation Universe’s own Garri Bagdasarov gave The Surge a 6/10 in his review, summing it up with: ‘The Surge started off great. The combat was fun, the story seemed interesting, and the crafting was enjoyable, that is until I got a dozen or so hours into it where everything went from being doable to insanely hard, grinding, and uninspiring.’
