BioWare has launched Mass Effect Andromeda update 1.10 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, adding a number of tweaks to the game’s multiplayer component.

The PS4 version of the update weighs in at just over 900MB, while the Xbox One version clocks in at over 1GB. Check out the full patch notes for Mass Effect Andromeda update 1.10 below.

  • Veteran ranks of characters will only drop after all characters of that rarity have been unlocked to rank 10.
  • Naladen explosion now deals damage when Cryo or Incendiary Ammo are equipped.
  • Fixed issue where Dwindling Supplies and Empty Resupply mission modifiers would not function correctly if a player left the game.
  • Dhan shotgun now properly primes enemies.
  • Fixed issue where Bulwark, Siphon, and Concussive variants of pistols and sniper rifles would prime enemies too slowly when using special ammo.
  • Fixed issue where using Supply Pack Transmitter would reduce spare ammo if Empty Resupply mission modifier was active.
  • Using First Aid with Supply Pack Transmitter no longer heals enemies.
  • Fixed issue that caused screen to blink red/yellow when using Siphon and Bulwark weapons.
  • Rank XIV Common Characters are no longer displayed as Rank XV

Mass Effect Andromeda was released in March 2017 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Arriving five years after the previous game, Andromeda was met with mix reviews in comparison to the original trilogy, with criticism levelled at its various bugs and glitches upon launch, particularly the dodgy-looking character models. The game is now available as a free 10-hour trial for those interested in taking it for a spin.

In related news, publisher Electronic Arts has announced during its recent earnings call that BioWare Montreal, the creators behind the Mass Effect franchise, has been moved into the same facility as EA Motive.

“We’re building out a new studio in Montreal, as we’ve told everyone. And we’ve hired over 100 people into that studio that are brand new to EA. This is to build the new IP around Jade Raymond’s team that she has been building. I was in that studio last month and it’s a wonderful new addition to our team. And we brought our BioWare Montreal team into that same facility, so they now all sit in one new studio together,” commented EA executive, Blake Jorgensen.

Rumors have suggested that the series has been put on ice for now, although EA has yet to make any formal announcement about the future of the Mass Effect franchise at the time of writing.
