Sony is currently prepping the release of the next major update for its flagship home console, PS4 update 5.0, with details on what to expect from the new patch already leaking online yesterday.
However, as was the case with previous major PS4 updates, the format holder is looking for beta testers to take the new patch for a spin before it officially rolls it out later this year. Registration for the beta is still open, so if you’re interested in having a chance to get an early look at the patch, then you still have time to put your name down.
PS4 update 5.0 – how to sign up for the summer beta
Signing up for the PS4 5.0 beta is pretty straight forward. If you’re in the U.K. and Europe, then simply head to Sony’s official beta page for your region here. You’ll need to enter your Sony Entertainment Network Online ID and follow the instructions.
Those of you who reside in North America must point your browser to Sony’s U.S. beta page. Firstly you’ll have to accept the terms and conditions, then answer a series of questions, which include filling in your SEN Online ID as with the European version.
