Monster Hunter DLC is coming for free!
While most games these days have Season Passes announced months before release, don’t include Monster Hunter World into that mix — at least not yet. Same as in previous entries in the franchise, Monster Hunter World has now been confirmed to be getting free DLC! This was confirmed by Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto at gamescom, who added that players will need to sign up to each console’s online service in order to play with friends.
"We will continue to release free quests as we always have," said Tsujimoto.
"On portable, you are not always online, so you have to have a system in place where people will download the quests or data when they are at home then play when they are out. Now with the console, we can rely on you being online whenever you’re on."
Confirmed for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2018, expect Monster Hunter World to kick things up a notch and evolve as a franchise when the action-RPG launches.
