Dragon’s Crown Pro is coming to the PlayStation 4, according to the Niconico page for Atlus’ Tokyo Game Show 2017 live stream.

Despite the earlier confirmation of the TGS 2017 line-up, the game has yet receive an official announcement, although according to the pre-order banner, the game will see a limited edition release in its native Japan.

Dragon’s Crown was originally released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita back in 2013, so we imagine this is an updated version of the game featuring high-definition visuals and possibly other enhanced features.

Right now, the official Dragon’s Crown website does not list the PS4 version of the game, although the titled will most likely be announced at TGS during the period September 21 – 24, 2017.

Developed by Vanillaware, Dragon’s Crown takes the form of a 2D, fantasy-flavoured action-RPG, and takes place in a medieval-inspired world where gamers traverse various dungeons and labyrinths in search of riches and adventure.

Up to four players can take part in the action, with the original game featuring local multiplayer and drop-in co-op via PlayStation Network.

Dragon’s Crown plucks much of its inspiration from classic side-scrolling titles such as Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara and Golden Axe, with each character in the game possessing a number of unique strengths and weaknesses. Players can level up in the traditional RPG sense, increasing their warrior’s skills and magical abilities.

The game proved to be quite a hit with critics upon its 2013 release, and currently holds a meteoritic rating of 82 and 78 for PS3 and PS Vita, respectively.
