Naughty Dog has released Uncharted 4 update 1.29 for the PlayStation 4-exclusive adventure title.
This latest update for the critically acclaimed sequel introduces Team Tournaments, which were implemented following PS4 update 5.0.
In addition, the latest Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End update applies a number of key bug fixes for its multiplayer component.
Uncharted 4 update 1.29 patch notes
Multiplayer:
- Added support for Team Tournaments with PS4 System Software 5.00
- Fixed a bug related to customizable character skins for Chloe and Nadine
- Fixed a bug where Asav and the Warlord sound effects were missing in certain languages
The Uncharted 4 multiplayer was recently updated to add a number of key features from Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. These included a new playable character, skins, and other goodies.
Naughty Dog has been continually patching its online portion of the adventure game since launch, adding new content such as weapons, a King of the Hill mode, and more.
Uncharted 4 hit shelves back in May 2016 and has sold around 8.7 million copies worldwide to date, making it by far the most successful entry in the series to date.
It’s also the final game to star Nathan Drake, with The Lost Legacy replacing the cheeky treasure hunter with fan favorite, Chloe Fraser.
Naughty Dog has made it clear on numerous occasions that it’s leaving the Uncharted series behind. However, it hasn’t ruled out a possible Uncharted 5 with a new studio at the helm and has even suggested the series could continue, albeit without Drake.
Uncharted 4 suffered a troubled development cycle, with numerous content scrapped following the departure of Amy Hennig in 2014. One of the chief differences with Hennig’s vision of the game and the final project was the role of Drake’s brother, Sam, as an out-and-out villain.
