Electronic Arts and DICE have revealed new details on the upcoming Battlefield 1 Turning Tides DLC.
The acclaimed first-person shooter, which has over 21 million players and counting, will receive its next batch of content in December 2017.
Battlefield 1 Turning Tides DLC details
Turning Tides focuses on naval and beachfront clashes, with the first batch of maps centring on the Gallipoli Campaign. Cape Helles sees players storming the beaches as British forces or taking up defense as the Ottoman Empire.
Achi Baba, meanwhile, is a hilltop-based offensive and will join Cape Helles this December.
Following this will be an additional two maps in January 2018. Heligoland Bight sees the British and German forces going head-to-head in an epic naval battle, while Zeebrugge sees the Brits attacking Bruges-Zeebrugge in Belgium.
In addition to the new maps, Turning Tides will include a new faction in the shape of the British Empire’s Royal Marines, plus a host of extra weapons.
Among the new firearms you’ll be getting to grips with include the M1917 Trench Carbine, Maschinenpistole M1912/P.16, Farquhar-Hill, M1917 MG, Carcano M91 Carbine, and Type 38 Arisaka. The Naval Cutlass and Grappling Hook will also join the lineup.
Finally, Turning Tides also adds new vehicle types, such as the L-Class Destroyer and the C-Class Airship for sea and air forces, respectively.
Battlefield 1 was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in October 2016.
DICE recently rolled out the Battlefield 1 October update, which adds a number of fixes and balance changes, plus the ability to browse servers for the Operations mode.
Those of you who fancy picking up the World War One-based shooter would do well to invest in the Battlefield 1 Revolution Edition.
