Call of Duty WW2 will support just three maps for its impressive-looking War Mode at launch, according to a Reddit user who has obtained an early copy of the game.
War Mode ships with Operation Breakout, Operation Griffin, and Operation Neptune. Of the three maps, one of them, Breakout, was previously featured in the Call of Duty WW2 beta.
Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that additional War operations will be made available via DLC.
While the number of initial maps may prove disappointing, it has been revealed via early copies that War Mode will be available to play offline with bots.
The news follows previous leaks confirming that the physical version of Call of Duty WW2 will require a 9GB patch to play the single-player campaign.
Call of Duty WW2 is due for release on November 3, 2017 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The game is the first instalment in nine years to take place during the Second World War, and focuses on the latter stages of the conflict as the U.S. 1st Infantry Division pushes throughout Europe.
