The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games has announced it will publish 7 Days to Die for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer.
Developed by The Fun Pimps Entertainment, 7 Days to Die takes the form of a zombie-based survival title that marries elements of first-person combat, tower-defence and RPG mechanics. The game was launched on Kickstarter back in 2013 and is currently available on Steam early access.
7 Days to Die also places a heavy emphasis on crafting, allowing gamers to build both their character and the world around them by looting and mining materials, as well as a healthy dollop of exploration thrown in for good measure.
Fresh for the console versions will be a new multiplayer mode and local split-screen co-op, with extra multiplayer modes and downloadable content due to be revealed in the coming weeks.
In addition, those who pre-order the game will be rewarded with five character skins based on Telltale’s The Walking Dead video game series, including Michonne and Lee Everett.
7 Days to Die will be available as a digital download and boxed copy from June 2016. Check out the trailer below.
