Speaking during an interview with the PlayStation Blog, A Plague Tale: Requiem Game Director, Kevin Choteau, has revealed that there are no plans for a sequel to the game right now, although hasn’t completed ruled anything out, saying ‘the door is never closed.’
When asked if he considers ‘the book closed’ on A Plague Tale’s world, Choteau made it clear that thing is certain yet, but did indicate it’s down to Requiem’s reception. This makes sense, as the team admitted this game was never planned until Asobo Studio saw the reception not A Plague Tale Innocence.
I think, for now, it’s the end. But the door is never closed, and we’ll see the player reception. We want to see their reaction before deciding anything. They are driving our production, and if they don’t like what we’ve done, we need to do something else.
