Project Leonardo may still be in development, but Sony is beginning to roll out other accessibility features that’ll help players make more informed decisions on whether or not a game is accessible to them.
Accessibility Tags have begun to roll out on the PlayStation Store, which is a new feature that’ll identify what accessibility features are available to players in a game before buying it.
It hasn’t rolled out to every game, and Sony is still working to collaborate with developers to add these tags to their games, but it will be available for a slew of PlayStation Studios titles right away.
Days Gone, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, God of War, God of War Ragnarök, Gran Turismo 7, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Returnal all already support this feature.
The news was announced in a PlayStation Blog post, where senior vice president of platform experience at SIE, Hideaki Nishino does mention Project Leonardo, but there’s no real update on its progress.
“Together with the wide array of accessibility settings within the PS5 console UI, Accessibility Tags will empower you to personalize your PS5 gaming experience to your individual gameplay needs.
They’re the latest step in our journey to make gaming more accessible, alongside inclusively-designed games from PlayStation Studios and upcoming products like Project Leonardo.”
