Kotaku has got word that the Japanese release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete has sold a whopping 100,000 copies on its first day at retail.
The sales milestone puts the popular flick above any other anime Blu-ray film released in 2008. Call it a hunch, but we’re fairly certain the inclusion of a playable demo of Final Fantasy XIII may have had something to do with it such a lucrative reception.
The film hits North America on June 2, and a quick glance at the bonus content reveals it’ll include an ‘exclusive sneak peak at Final Fantasy XIII’ – unfortunately, we’re still in the dark as to whether or not it’ll be in playable form like its Japanese counterpart.
Stay tuned.
