XSEED Games has announced it’s localizing the recently revealed Akiba’s Beat and the spin-off Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star. Both will release on the PlayStation 4 and Vita and be at the company’s E3 booth this year.
No specific launch dates have been mentioned as of yet, other than a winter 2016 window for Akiba’s Beat.
A successor to the Akiba’s Trip series, Akiba’s Beat is 75% complete with staff who previously worked on Divine Gate, such as director Kohta Takano and character designer UCMM. The action RPG stars teenagers who must fight monster-filled dungeons in Tokyo’s anime and gaming district Akihabara. You can read more details here.
Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star is a hack-and-slash action game in the vein of Dynasty Warriors featuring the popular characters from the Fate franchise, which has encompassed visual novels, games, and anime adaptations. The game’s story is by Kinoko Nasu, who wrote the original Fate/stay night visual novel, returning to the franchise he started. EXTELLA takes place after Fate/EXTRA in a world ruled by the all-powerful lunar super computer Moon Cell Automaton. Servants will fight villains from Fate/stay night, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order in a digital realm named “SE.RA.PH.
