Alan Wake 2 Has Reportedly Not Yet Made Back Its Development And Marketing Budget

Remedy has revealed during its first quarter financial results that Alan Wake 2 has not made back the entirety of its development and marketing costs.

Speaking in a statement overnight, the company revealed that Alan Wake 2 “recouped a significant part of the development and marketing expenses” as of the first quarter of 2024, meaning it has still yet to make a profit. Having said that, Alan Wake 2 is the fastest-selling Remedy game of all time, moving 1.3 million copies.

Remedy previously revealed last month that it is planning “a more regular cadence of sequels” for both Alan Wake and Control, which hopefully means we won’t be waiting more than 10 years for the next Alan Wake game.

Remedy revealed during the same financial report that Max Payne 1 & 2 Remakes will enter full production by Q2 2024.
