It’s been 13 years since Alan Wake came out, but the wait is finally over for Alan Wake 2, and to celebrate developer Remedy has released the launch trailer for the highly anticipated survival horror title.
Alan Wake 2 launches for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 27, 2023. Remedy recently said that the studio has taken great care to ensure a quality experience on home consoles, and PS5 owners can expect some solid use of the DualSense controller to boot. Meanwhile, the Alan Wake 2 download size clocks in at nearly 80GB, so make sure you’ve got enough space come launch day.
Set more than a decade after the events of the original game, Alan Wake 2 finds the eponymous writer trapped in the Dark Place, a twisted reality separate from our own where Alan can manipulate the world around him. While he’s attempting to escape this warped space, FBI agent Saga Anderson is busy investigating a series of ritualistic murders in the town of Bright Falls, which brings her closer to the malevolent dark presence that threatens to overtake this idyllic settlement.
