When it was announced that Alan Wake 2 wouldn’t be getting a physical release when it first launched, fans were disappointed.
Though they may have understood Remedy’s position in wanting to give themselves as much time to work on the game prior to launch, and not worry about needing to have it done early so it could be printed on a disc, the disappointment still stung.
Thankfully those fans no longer need to be disappointed, because during the main showcase event for Summer Game Fest 2024, Remedy’s own Sam Lake stepped up on stage to confirm that Alan Wake 2 is getting a physical release.
Not only is a physical edition coming, there will also be a collector’s edition made for the game, and players can grab their pre-orders for both beginning tomorrow, June 8, 2024.
The physical versions will arrive on October 22, 2024.
The standard physical edition will include the items available in the digital deluxe edition of the game, and it’ll also include a code for Alan Wake Remastered.
For the collector’s edition, it’ll be made by Limited Run, will include everything that comes in the standard edition and an exclusive collector’s edition box, a replica of Alan Wake’s lamp that does actually work, a keychain and key card for room 665, a Coffee World pin set and an artbook.
