Rumours that Creative Assembly’s latest game will be entitled Alien Isolation appear to have been confirmed thanks to some leaked artwork discovered by NeoGaf.
Bearing the name of the title, the artwork also shows a female character, rumoured to be Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Ellen Ripley who was played by Sigourney Weaver in the first two Aliens movies.
According to Kotaku, the game is rumoured to be a first-person shooter that contains elements of horror and stealth and will feature Amanda in a starring role.
"You, as Amanda, spend most if not all of the game on a single space station, according to our source. There’s only one alien for "most" of the game, our source said; you’ll mostly be shooting through "clones and soldiers." Vents, lockers, and melee weapons are a big part of Isolation, our source said, and the game is heavily inspired by the first Alien movie".
This will be Creative Assembly’s first stab at a game in the Aliens franchise with previous developer Gearbox most likely ditched following the poor critical reception of Aliens: Colonial Marines earlier this year.
Alien Isolation is expected to be released on current and next-gen consoles at some point in 2014. SEGA has yet to announce the game.
