While Sony hasn’t announced the PS6 yet, there’s been plenty of rumours about the new console from the hardware giant. Digital Foundry for example has stated that it expects the PS6 to feature at least 24GB RAM to accommodate machine learning tech, while former Sony indie boss Shuhei Yoshida has said that it ‘feels right‘ if the console were to launch in 2028.

Elsewhere, the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment acknowledged that fans are eager to learn more details about the PS6, and therefore ‘the future of the platform is top of mind.’ There’s also persistent rumours that Sony is set to launch a new handheld that will arrive alongside the PS6.
