Apex Legends Developer Says 120 FPS Is ‘One Of Our Goals’ For PS5 And Xbox Series X

Speaking during a Reddit AMA, Respawn Entertainment‘s Steve Ferreira has revealed that 120 FPS is one of the team’s goals for Apex Legends going forward on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Right now, the battle royale title offers a resolution bump on new consoles from 1080p to 1440p, but it seems that frame rate is the next goal for the game.

120 FPS is one of our goals and as we continue to look at NG features and balance between what we think is best for the overall player experience for NG, we’re keeping this in mind. Can’t promise anything but with the core mechanics “feel” of Apex being such an important piece of the player experience this one is high on the priority list.
