Apex Legends Season 3 will officially kick off on October 1, developer Respawn Entertainment has announced. As expected, the new season of content will introduce a new Legend in the shape of Crypto, who has been rumoured for some time now.
Apex Legends Season 3 Detailed
Apex Legends Season 3 will bring with it a new Battle Pass that features over 100 exclusive items, including Legendary skins, Apex Packs, and more. Crypto, meanwhile, is described as ‘cool, calm, and collected,’ and is able to deploy specialised surveillance drones allowing him to remain active in battle while staying out of harm’s way.
In addition, Respawn is adding a new weapon in the shape of the Charge Rifle and a new Ranked Series. That’s about all we know so far, with the developer promising more details will be coming soon.
News on Apex Legends Season 3 follows last week’s confirmation of a physical release for the popular battle royale title, which is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 18.
Apex Legends was released in February and was a massive success, amassing 25 million players in just one week and growing to 50 million within one month. Despite this, Fortnite still holds the crown when it comes to the most popular battle royale title on the market.
Here’s the full lowdown from Respawn:
