Aragami and Aragami 2 developer Lince Works has announced that effective April 2023, it will “stop the development of new projects indefinitely.”
“We have been lucky enough to work on what we love for the past nine years,” the studio wrote in its statement.
“Pouring our hearts and souls into creating immersive and entertaining games for you to enjoy, and we are so proud of what we have accomplished.
But unfortunately, we have come to the end of our journey.”

While this is sad news for fans of the Aragami series who were potentially looking forward to Lince Works next title, this closure won’t effect either of the Aragami games.
“We want to assure you that Aragami and Aragami 2 will remain available across all platforms and store fronts and the online co-op will be accessible.”
Lince Works cites an unfavorable “economic context” as to the reason for its closure, saying that it “ran out of time.”
At the end of its statement, it leaves with “Although we may be closing our doors, the memories and experiences shared with the team and you, our fans, will remain forever.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and for making it an unforgettable one.”
All that language sounds quite final, and unfortunately doesn’t leave a lot of room for interpretation that Lince Works might try and re-open its doors one day in the future.
