Following the announcement that Fast & Furious’ Justin Lin will be helming the upcoming Helldivers movie adaptation, Shams Jorjani, CEO of Arrowhead Studios, has responded to criticism from fans over the fact Lin is not a gamer and should play the game before directing the project.
Speaking on Arrowhead’s Discord, one user took it upon themselves to suggest they should helm the Helldivers movie instead. In response, Jorjani commented, “Let Justin Lin work his magic.” Another fan asked the Arrowhead CEO to ensure that Lin “plays the game at least once,” prompting the following response: “I trust Justin. He did a great job on the Star Trek movie.”
