Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has sold three million worldwide since its launch on July 9, 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The publisher previously revealed that the game had moved two million copies only a few days after launch.
Last week, Richard Knight, the game’s director, confirmed that the development team are working on a New Game Plus mode, although there’s no date for that just yet. The latest title update for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is now available to download.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a full remake of the 2013 swashbuckling outing Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, featuring a huge visual makeover using the latest version of Ubisoft’s Anvil engine. In addition, the development team have completely revamped the game’s combat, which now sees enemies having a defensive gauge that must be depleted in order to inflict damage and chain instant kills. Players can also now crouch at any point, which greatly enhances stealth, and there’s new Officers to recruit for the Jackdaw as well as a dedicated endgame featuring new missions centred around Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet.
