A new report on Insider-Gaming has claimed that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will feature a Samurai and Shinobi character.
The teaser trailer previously released by Ubisoft apparently depicts the female samurai, while the Shinobi character is believed to be an African refugee who has trained in the way of the Creed. Insider-Gaming notes that the game is currently in ‘good shape’ and has a large focus on stealth, which should please fans who weren’t taken with the more action-focussed Assassin’s Creed games.
According to the report, developer Ubisoft Quebec has adopted a style similar to Splinter Cell and Hitman, where players can hide bodies, take cover in tall grass, and eliminating light sources so your shadows are not spotted by enemies.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is one of many new entries in the franchise currently in production, the others being Assassin’s Creed Hexe and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. A recent rumor has also suggested that Ubisoft has more games planned for release beyond what has been announced.
